It was a peaceful and calm island… the blue sky and the blue sea reach as far as one can see. For the boys and girls living there, another day was supposed to begin as usual.

That one day, the boys and girls suddenly began to receive a message. The moment they replied, a stream of light flashed in the blue sky. Seemingly beautiful, yet bringing a severe reality upon them… The enemy suddenly appeared, too sudden to even accept this reality at the mercy of that wave.
How should they have replied in order to live?A boy, Makabe Kazuki, resolves his mind to ride into Fafner in order to live and to escape from this sore reality…
Another Evagelion-type of mecha anime. I think it is pretty ok for a 26 episodes mecha anime. But it is a bit complex and hard to understand for some part of the story. I’ll give it a 7.5/10.
